At Country Comfort Homes we work with you take sure that your home fits the site, as it should by visiting your site with you. We also help determine if there are problems that need to be addressed long before the construction process begins. The site visit and ultimate placement and orientation can many times save grading and foundation monies that can be used in other areas.

As we begin to work with you to develop your floor plan, we spend a lot of time placing the furniture that you plan to use so that the space you build is the space you need. This exercise also makes it possible to place your windows at exactly the right location. Every piece of furniture looks as if it belongs. We, during this process, determine the location of all mechanical, plumbing and electrical items. Once these items are placed we make sure that all structural members are relocated to accommodate them without the need to alter the structure. This also allows us to locate overhead lighting and or fans to hand at an exact desired location. The result is a finished appearance with no ugly boxing or wire mold to destroy the beauty. We work with your contractor or sub-contractor to make sure that they understand how all of the ugly items of your home will be hidden without looking as if they were hidden as an afterthought.

Once preliminary planning is complete we prepare working drawings in-house as opposed to sending them to some disinterested third party whom you have never talked with and who may or may not have your best interest at heart. To accomplish the drawing process we have a registered architect and engineer that we work with, as the job requires.

The day has finally come - - - the construction process is about to commence. As your foundation is built, I will be there three times to check the construction. Everyone smiles when the home fits the foundation. The log delivery is scheduled to coincide as closely as possible with the completion of the foundation and sub-floor. I will be there the day the log package arrives along with my erector of thirteen years. We unload the trucks and begin the erection process. As the erection progresses our crew cuts the wiring into the second floor and roof structure at the predetermined locations. Normal log package erection goes through roof dry-in and takes about one week. The roof dry-in puts your home temporarily in the dry under builder's paper with window and door jambs set. I am constantly there during the erection process.

After the erection is complete we continue to be at your disposal throughout the construction process. We want you to be as happy with your dream home as Jackie and I are with ours.
