Hans and Hallie Michel's Home!
I am very pleased that Hans and Hallie chose us to furnish their log home. Hans a professional engineer with a very analytical mind decided that our product was the best fit to the desires and needs that he and Hallie had for a log home. The one change to our standard structure was to use a 2" chink joint in lieu of the standard 4" joint. Hans and Hallie's home is a 28' x 44' structure with an 8' front porch and a utility room extended to the rear of the kitchen area. A partial shed dormer was used at the second floor bedroom area. |
The structure was manufactured with a hand-hewn finish outside and a planed finish on the inside. The kitchen and great room adjoin with the great room open to the loft area, which serves as a sitting area/trophy room. Two skylights shower the loft and great room. The second bedroom, used by Hans' mother on her visit from Germany, occupies the remainder of the second floor. The front porch overlooking the lake is a favorite gathering place for family and friends |
