A name was given to me with the recommendation that this was a builder of knowledge, experience, integrity, and veracity, punctual and on the job with oversight. He was said to be personable and interested in pleasing with product and performance.
Having been around building for a number of years it sounded like entirely too many good things to be in one package.
I contacted him and my wife and I met with him. We designed the house that we desired and he proved far more than a salesman as we planned and eliminated would be problems.
We purchased the home, began construction and all that I was told proved to be true about Pete Pyles. There is far more than finding a salesman from which to buy a log home - you need all the other attributes and in the end you will be hard pressed not to call him a friend. We were pleased in all aspects and continue to stay in touch.
The best recommendation that I can give after going through the building process is that if I were doing it again, knowing what I know, by experience, I would not consider another builder with which to do business if Pete were available.
