Testimonial from
Brian and Misty Norman
Like every young couple we had a dream and knew exactly what we wanted, or so we thought. We started researching log homes in 1999. A year later our progress was disheartening. There were plenty of log home builders, and they were happy to build us anything but what we wanted.

On the verge of giving up on log homes completely, we were introduced to Pete Pyles. Pete invited us to his home, a product of Appalachian Log Homes. He was the first dealer we met in the industry that actually lived in a log home. Like us, before Pete was a dealer, he was a customer. Therefore, he was knowledgeable of the numerous products and companies available.
Reluctantly and expectant of more confusion, we shared a dream and plans with Pete. Pete helped us to decipher the mountains of information that we had obtained and to understand the pros and cons of our plans. Pete's product knowledge, genuine concern and love of log homes inspired us to commit to Applachian. His architectural ability and patience assisted us in designing and finalizing our dream home.
Through the building phase, Pete regularly met with our contractors, visited the job site, answered our questions and even taught us how to chink. Although the building process was long and exhausting, Pete was always available and committed to the success of our project. With our log home complete and just the way we wanted it, we not only consider Pete to be our builder but a dear friend.
