We believe that realizing a dream the magnitude of building a log home requires a team of people who are as committed to your dream as you are, and that it requires a power greater than yourselves to put that team together. We talked to a lot of people that we felt could be on our team, but none of them qualified in the end.

One day I picked up a magazine (one that I didn't subscribe to) that featured an Appalachian Log Home. The builder's name was Pete Pyles. I got his phone number and called him right away. I knew when I talked to his wife, Jackie, we were on the right track. I could tell by talking to her that these were people we could trust with our dream. Pete started on it immediately, and we had our first set of drawings to review within a few days. Although Pete is a very busy man, he made us feel like our home was his only project. He took our little hand-drawn plans, turned them into workable drawings, ordered the logs and had the logs erected on our site in less than six months.

There are so many unknown variables in building a log home, that many people are afraid to follow their dream of building one. Pete helped us work through most of those variables, which helped to take the fear out of building our home.

Pete works very hard to make sure you get the house you want. He's patient and willing to do what is necessary to see your dream through.
